The Ministry of Education and Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) have listed out the results of pupils that participated in the 2023 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) in Uganda. However, you can check the PLE results online and through SMS, and both can be done using your phone.
The Education's Ministry and UNEB released the 2023 PLE results on January, 26, 2024. According to report, an approximately 750,000 students participated in the Examination; comprising 357,797 males and 391,574 females, including 2,436 Special Needs candidates.
In this article, I'm going to walk you through the process of checking your PLE results via SMS, on phone and online using the UNEB’s e-registration portal.
How to Check PLE Results on Phone/SMS
Checking PLE results on phone via SMS is easy and straightforward. Even, less educated parents can do this. To check your kid's PLE on phone, kindly go-to your "Messaging App" and send some shortcode to 6600.
However, it's important to let you know that checking PLE results via SMS will incurs for network charges. Follow these steps to check PLE results via SMS:
- Open your phone's "Messaging App"
- Tap the pen icon or the composer icon
- Type PLE, give it space then type the kid's INDEX NUMBER, all in capital letters just like this: "PLE INDEXNUMBER"
- Send it to "6600"
- After which, you will get you results within 24 hours via SMS.
This service is only available on MTN Uganda and Airtel Uganda, and it will incur for UGX500 per request.
How to Check UNEB's PLE Results Online
You can simply church your kid's PLE Results online via UNEB's E-registration portal. Here's how:
- Visit Ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results on your device's browser.
- Tap "Results" and you will redirected.
- Input your examination "Index Number" and tap "Search"
- Voila, your PLE results is out!
